How to install Open EMR

Follow these steps to install Open EMR without the need of a Webserver

Step-by-step guide

Reboot PC and enter BIOS and ENABLE (on by default) Intel Virtualization
Download and install Oracle Virtual Box and the VirtualBox Extension pack from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads - NOTE You will need to be signed in as the ADMIN to install the Extension Pack.
Now copy the "OpenEMR Appliance.ova" file from N:\IT\IT.Installs\Open Emr
Open VirtualBox and click "Import" and point o the OpenEMR Appliance.ova file and click agree on the EULA
After the import is complete you can start the OpenEMR by clicking the arrow on the Start button and choose "Headless" start
You'll know when it's ready to go when the preview screen looks like this
Finally, log in to the system by opening Chrome and navigate to localhost:80 and you'll be greeted with the login screen.
